Pick up & Drop off
Dancers arrive at Stage Door at 11am on show day, to the left of the Katsumata Theatre entrance. We will meet dancers at the stage door and take attendance. It is really important for dancers to be on time as we need to get ready and get familiar with the stage so that we are all comfortable for our big moment!
Parents are welcome to wait in the foyer after drop-offs. We will have barista made coffee and beautiful gifts available for the dancers.
After the show we will have a designated pickup area in the theatre/foyer where we will meet parents to ensure there’s no confusion. Please stay in the theatre/foyer – we will bring your children to you! -

Hair
Please come with your hair done! If you need help, bring a brush, pins, hair ties and let us know in advance so we can help you
Please have two low space buns. If the dancer’s hair is shorter, do your best to put them into two piggy tails. We recommend doing hair when it’s wet as it stays in place easier.
-

Makeup
Since we have bright lights for this show, it can be nice to accentuate some features.
We invite all dancers to wear
• Pink lipstick
• Pink blush
• Eyebrow pencil
• Brown (any shade) eye shadow for a soft smoky eye
• Black mascaraPlease no glitter on dancers faces. If you would like to add a bit of extra sparkle (we all love sparkle!!!), you are welcome to put some glitter on their hair before they get to the venue.
-

Food
Please bring a packed lunch with your
dancer’s name on it.Be mindful of the food you pack.
Please don’t include items that are messy,
could stain clothing, or stays on your fingers.
We work hard on our costumes and
want to keep them as tidy as possible!Nut free snacks only please!

Clothing
Dancer will be required to wear their own well fitting, light coloured underwear under their costumes. We recommend a skin coloured body suit from Geelong Dance Supplies. Great for costume changes and those that are sensitive to different fabrics, but it is not required. No bike-shorts are needed.
Dancers are welcome to wear whatever dance clothes to the venue. We will do a run through of our numbers in those clothes at the start of the day before getting changed.
We encourage all dancers to wear a zip through jacket, which will keep them warm once in costume and which we can easily take off without messing up their beautiful hair. -

What to bring
Please send your dancer with a named "green bag" style bag (with a base). We will use this to store your clothes and shoes while in costume and to ensure that everything goes back to their correct owners.
Label, label, label! Clearly name all water bottles, lunch bags, clothing and bags with their name. We aim for no lost socks and jumpers this year! Please do not bring valuables.Rehearsal is for the entire specified time. Early leavers and late arrivals must notify admin in writing prior to the day so we can update our teacher records.
